Visa, a global payments firm, is increasing efforts to solidify its market position, enhance digital payment infrastructure, provide accessible payment solutions tailored to local needs, and promote financial inclusion in Central Africa.
At the recent Visa Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) Client Summit 2025, which brought together key financial players such as fintechs, banks, and policymakers, Ismahill Diaby, Visa’s vice president and director for West and Central Africa, outlined the company’s strategic plan to foster collaboration among financial institutions and improve payments accessibility in the region.
“The digitisation of payments is a crucial lever for economic development in CEMAC,” Diaby, adding that they would work with other players to offer secure and accessible payment solutions.
The event also highlighted current payment solutions suited to the CEMAC market, with industry professionals exchanging insights on the trends and innovations driving financial accessibility.
“We are especially excited about the innovative Visa solutions showcased during the event, which are set to revolutionize digital payments in the CEMAC region. These solutions, designed to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience, will play a crucial role in building the future of digital payments,” said Ines Amani, Visa’s director of business development for Central Africa.
