Seychelles commits to digitise public services
Wavel Ramkalawan, President of the Republic of Seychelles, announced last week his commitment to modernising public services through digital transformation.
Ramkalawan made the pledge during an official visit to the registrar general’s office on Friday morning.
The President, accompanied by senior officials, observed operations at the Business Registration and Intellectual Property divisions—key departments that stimulate economic development and safeguard innovation in Seychelles.
State House Seychelles issued a statement saying: “A pivotal aspect of the visit was a strategic meeting with senior management, where discussions focused on institutional achievements, ongoing challenges, and future modernisation initiatives.
“The engagement provided valuable insights into the office’s operations and reinforced the government’s dedication to improving public service efficiency.”
It went on to say the registrar general’s office remains committed to maintaining a transparent, efficient, and technology-driven business and legal framework that supports Seychelles’ national development goals.
According to the State House, the successful introduction of digital services is a significant step forward in government’s modernisation path, promising improved service delivery.
President Ramkalawan commented: “We are witnessing remarkable progress in processing efficiencies as we transition to digital services.”
