The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has licensed 20 new internet service providers (ISPs) this year, bringing the total number of operators in the segment to 120, CommunicationsWeek reported. The newly licensed companies to provide internet service include Last Mile Unique Integrated Services, Ciudad Infrastructure, Torrent Wireless, Fastfeet, Tripple Logic Telecommunications, Gutti Global Solutions, Telequip & Digital, Vobiss Gridworx Nigeria, Brainshare Technologies and Services Nigeria, Tech-Systems, MM Telcom Global, Access Solutions, Mobile AD, and Internetsional Technologies.

Others are Paychex International Marketing, Arif Investment Nigeria, Unique El-Mao Nigeria , Megamore Wireless Broadband , CITCC Nigeria, Tecpoint Global Solution, Cloud Exchange West Africa, and Butterfly Telecommunications Network.
