Mobile operator 9mobile has awarded Raeanna Nigeria Limited, an infrastructure company specializing in rural connectivity and energy solutions, the extension of its 2G and 3G networks in Nigeria. The latter in turn offered the services of Clear Blue Technologies, a company providing green energy technologies.

The two companies plan to first test their new telecommunications systems, supporting 9mobile’s voice and data services, on two new telecom sites in southern Nigeria, before moving in 2020 to a hundred or so sites, which will provide voice and data connectivity in urban and peri-urban areas of the country.

These new sites will be added to 9mobile’s telecommunications infrastructure to meet the growing demand for broadband connectivity in Nigeria. 

According to Tunji Alabi, the executive director of Raeanna Nigeria Limited, Clear Blue was selected “given the success of our previous collaborations, Clear Blue was the only choice to supply power systems for this exciting new project.”

Clear Blue Technologies uses its Illumience platform to remotely manage, control and operate all power systems, ensuring the high availability and service levels required for telecommunication services, in real time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. days out of 7, stressed Tunji Alabi.
