Mozambique fixed and wireless operator Mocambique Telecom (TMCEL) is improving its mobile money services under a new five-year deal with Ericsson to expand and modernise its network and digital services ecosystem. The deal includes the vendor’s latest Business Support Systems (BSS) solutions and supporting services such as Ericsson Dynamic Activation and Ericsson Mobile Money. Todd Ashton, Vice President and Head of Ericsson South and East Africa, said: ‘This project is a key aspect to the economic development of the nation and will also be a key enabler for connecting and supporting new emerging industries in the country.’
