Axian Telecom appoints Pierre-Antoine Legagneur as CEO of Togocom
Paulin Alazard took over as general manager of Togocom in 2019, replacing Affoh Atcha-Dedji, when the group came under the control of Axian Telecom. He resigned in August 2022. Tarik Boudiaf was appointed as interim.
Pierre-Antoine Legagneur has been the new managing director of the Togolese telecom operator Togocom since July 1. The pan-African telecommunications group Axian Telecom, parent company of Togocom, confirmed this in a press release published on Friday July 7.
At the head of Togocom, Mr. Legagneur succeeds Paulin Alazard who resigned from the position in August 2022. The interim has been provided by Tarik Boudiaf, commercial director and new deputy general manager of Togocom.
Mr. Legagneur will be responsible for “ leading Togocom into its next phase of growth and development ”. On the operational level, he will have to work to improve the quality and coverage of telecom services in order to comply with the regulatory indicators and thresholds of quality of service provided by the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Posts (ARCEP ). It will also have to settle the question of improving the living and working conditions of the company’s employees.
Stéphane Oudin, Chairman and CEO of Axian Telecom, is convinced that Pierre-Antoine Legagneur is “ well equipped ” to accomplish his new mission. The person concerned holds a master’s degree in engineering from Supelec in Paris (France) and has more than twenty years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Since 2015, he has held the position of Managing Director of Telco OI, a joint subsidiary of Axian Telecom and the Iliad Group in Reunion and Mayotte.
